BIO

Pastor L. E. Anderson, Jr., was born in Modesto, California to Barbara Anderson and the late Lonnie E. Anderson, Sr. He is the youngest of 5 children.

At the age of 13 he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the Christian Love Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor J. M. Anderson. Pastor Anderson attended public schools in Modesto, California, graduating from High School in 1984.

After graduating from high school, he moved to Bakersfield, California and united with The Peoples Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Ishmael Kimbrough, Jr. It was under Dr. Kimbrough that Pastor Anderson acknowledged and answered the call to preach the Gospel. He preached his first sermon on January 21, 1991 entitled: "Opposites Attract"

Believing strongly in training, preparation, and education, Dr. Kimbrough and the late Dr. E.W. Roland (Second Missionary Baptist Church of Merced, California) decided that Pastor Anderson should attend Selma University in Selma, Alabama. In January of 1992, he moved to Selma to attend Selma University. He united with the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. F.D. Reese. It was at Ebenezer that Pastor Anderson was ordained and placed as Assistant Pastor. In May of 1996, Pastor Anderson graduated Summa Cum Laude (3.975 GPA) with dual degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Christian Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Pastoral Ministries.

In July of 1996, Pastor Anderson accepted the call of GOD to serve as Senior Pastor of the historic Berean Missionary Baptist Church in Marion, AL. The Berean Church family experienced explosive growth as they were taught the principles of Evangelism and Discipleship. Pastor Anderson went back to school to pursue his Masters. In December of 2002, he graduated Magna Cum Laude (3.875 GPA) with his Masters of Arts in Pastoral Leadership.

In December 2002, Pastor Anderson accepted the call of GOD to serve as Senior Pastor of the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in Kokomo, Indiana. The Mount has experienced overwhelming growth spiritually and numerically; moreover, Christian Education and Evangelism are the catalyst for this remarkable move of GOD. Seeing the need for a Christ centered education, Pastor Anderson led The Mount in opening up their own private Christian Academy (the F.D. Reese Christian Academy). Pastor Anderson, seeing the need to further his own education, enrolled at Grace Theological Seminary in Winnona Lake, Indiana and graduated in May 2012 with his M.Div. in Pastoral Ministries. He earned the coveted “Faculty Award” for his scholastics and leadership.

Pastor Anderson is presently serving as an Adjunct Professor for Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana. He has successfully completed all courses required for his D.Min. He is now presently writing his dissertation entitled: Discerning The Causes Of And Remedying The Decline Of Black Male Millennials In The Local Church

Pastor Anderson is a family man. He is married (July, 1994) to the former Patricia Ann Davis. The Andersons have 4 children (Cedric, Brooke, Alexandria, and Loni Eylse) and a daughter in-law (KieAnna). They enjoy the privilege of spoiling 2 grandsons (Cedric Jr. and Camron).

Pastor Anderson is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He has held and presently holds numerous positions in civic and denominational work. He travels extensively across this country sharing his passion for Discipleship and Evangelism. With the Lord’s help he published his book entitled, “PARTNERING WITH PASTORS AND CHURCH LEADERS: CLOSING THE BACK DOOR”. The book is currently used in many denominations, conventions, districts, congresses and congregations. He enjoys Jazz Music and reading African American Literature. He is described by many as down to earth, witty, compassionate, extremely intelligent and fun to be around.
